Joshua Tree National Park, California Couples Session
During our second annual girls' trip (blog post on this amazing California road trip coming soon...hopefully), my sweet, talented friends Erica, Carrie, and I met up in the desert with Bryce and Lauren to create a little magic and celebrate Lauren's birthday among the Joshua trees.
Joshua Tree National Park is one of those places you can't really compare to anywhere else -- a magical meeting place of the Mojave and Colorado deserts, surrounded by funky western towns filled with tumbleweed, odd characters, and camper vans. Based on our brief time there, I'm pretty sure there's no such a thing as a mediocre sunset, or a bad place for photos. I really wouldn't complain if someone asked me to go back. ;)
We had the best time roaming around the park with these two lovebirds, who have the sweetest connection -- easily shifting back and forth between silly & fun, and romantic & sweet. We shot till the sun went down and the air turned frigid, and then found our way to Pappy + Harriet's Pioneertown Palace -- a little gem way out in the desert boonies, where the stars shine bright, the food tastes better, and the live music flows freely. It was the perfect way to end a dreamy day in Joshua Tree.
