Summers are for playing in waterfalls 🤗

So a while back, we’ll before they were engaged, Sam started writing a journal to give to Joey on their wedding day, an act of faith that they would be married one day. Which is the sweetest thing ever.😭🥰 In the busyness of the day he only got to read a couple pages, so later that week when we were out roaming the park and taking more photos, they took a few minutes and read through the journal together, which was also the sweetest thing ever. It’s little thing like this that make my heart so happy to get to witness + document.

The sweetest little elopement ceremony there ever was. Tiffani wore blue, just like Zach’s mom had on her wedding day. Her sister officiated the tiny ceremony surrounded by a handful or two of family members, barefoot at the base of a waterfall. They wrote their names on a rock and tossed it down the stream, shared prayers, and popped champagne. Many tears were shed, sweet vows exchanged, and so much joy shared. It was perfect.

Your waterfalls aren’t so bad either, Tennessee. But mostly, you have the best humans and that’s what keeps me here. Such a fun weekend getting to roam around some pretty places with some pretty fine people. ☺️

Sorry, Tennessee summer, for all the things I’ve said about you and your sticky humidity... your evenings are pretty dreamy, honestly. Doesn’t hurt when you get to spend them with a couple sweethearts like these two either.

Seeing that first light hitting the Grand and reflecting into the icy blue water was completely worth waking up in the wee hours of the morning and hiking in the dark. I’m back home now, but forever dreaming that I’m right back here. . .
